Macron Looking To Ban Social Media If Rioting Accelerates

French president Emmanuel Macron said he would consider banning social media platforms as a way of suppressing dissent amid the ongoing anti-police riots in the country.

"It will be necessary to think about which social networks are used by protesting youth and possible bans", Macron said at a meeting with mayors in Paris.
