Over the period of the Atlantic Slave Trade, from approximately 1526 to 1867, some 12.5 million captured men, women, and children were put on ships in Africa, and 10.7 million arrived in the Americas. The Atlantic Slave Trade was likely the most costly in human life of all long-distance global migrations.
But that wasn’t the end of racial subjugation…..
The Jim Crow laws were state and local laws introduced in the Southern United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that enforced racial segregation, "Jim Crow" being a pejorative term for an African-American. Such laws remained in force until the 1960s.
….. Now affirmative action, CRT, and Black History are being cast aside as an attempt to embellish revisionist history? Really? Diversity built this nation. The attempts to mitigate the truth, will insure mutual self destruction…A future without context only validates the likelihood that the ugliness of history will repeat itself with dire consequences.
