Today’s acknowledgment of the symbolic gesture of the ending of slavery in Texas in 1865 is welcomed. However, a lot has happened over the past 159 years, culminating with the election of the first Black POTUS. The run up to that monumental achievement suggests change was slow (the red summer of 1919, kkk, lynchings, bombings, Jim Crow, etc), and remain as one of the greatest societal and cultural challenges going into the 21st century. In 2024, if race-baiting is still a thing, being weaponized in politics and by foreign adversaries, attacks on voting rights, and affirmative action, says there is still work to be done.

This Juneteenth 2024, we demand an end to our reparations being given to fake Israel and Ukraine! It's been time to redirect that money and aid towards the people that America has oppressed since 1555.

Black people will always
Chose Jesus…which is a problem…
He’s not real…he’s not white…
They still got his picture in their households
That includes the statues of him

For havin common sense…
It’s so sad to this day when my people still bow
Down on their knees prayin to a god
Who’s not our culture…who doesn’t belong
To us in the first place….black Christians will
Always stick up for Jesus, and tell you African spirituality
Is the devil…..

White Jesus
Is just an imaginary…
He’s a Stockholm Syndrome…

Religion is a power tool
To control people…to strip away
From their minds…

You say you love Jesus
He’s the love of your life…
You put him way above all others

What if I told you
Jesus isn’t real
Would you ignore me?
Would you argue tryin to put me
In my place?

White folks made Jesus white…
Somehow a lot of black people
Got a lot of nerve
To say skin color doesn’t matter…

Yet they care more for a white man
Than themselves…after he told your ass
You ain’t human….

I don’t care if you don’t like what I say
But black people my people
We have a mental illness
A mental disorder…
The fact it’s another generational curse
And the trauma will stick to our bones…

It’s in our dna

I think to break a cycle
Don’t go to church
Don’t let others influence you go back
Read and research learn
Your history and psychology….
