The California Highway Patrol released video of how they worked to remove protesters from blocking highways and bridges. Several of them stuck their hands into pipes, secured by concrete in barrel drums to stymy officers from removing them.

“The tactics utilized by unlawful protestors this morning on I-880 and the Golden Gate Bridge were intended to obstruct roadways and delay motorists. Those involved utilized chains, barrels and pipes to chain themselves together and block the roadway. Blocking roadways and bridges is unlawful and will not be tolerated.

Those arrested today were booked into the San Francisco and Alameda County Jail. The CHP recommended criminal charges to the respective District Attorneys, and we are hopeful those responsible for today’s blockages are held accountable.”
