About my grandniece
And felt like I’m on a protective mode
She’s perfect
I just want no harm…

I guess I’m like that
When it comes to
Babies in my family…

Have you ever gotten that feelin
When it comes to a new tradition
In your family? The fact you’re
Already obsessed…
You fall in love with those tiny eyes
Real quick…

My grandniece has stole my heart
For the whole week…
Just a few days old
And already, she took the world by storm…

It’s why I’m protective mode
I don’t want anythin happen
To her….

I love her so much…when she gets a little older,
She will learn and witness what love truly is…

Blackness go first
Above everything….
No matter what,
Cos white supremacy will always
Look at you as a nigger….
Wherever you go,
Those microaggressions
Those stereotypes
Those kinds of brutalities
It’s a system that we live under
Everyday…we call it oppression….
This is the system that tells us

Black people have been livin in white folks’
Heaven uncomfortably….
