I can’t speak the truth
I can’t write it either
Which is sad
Cos I will always speak the truth
No matter what…
I don’t give a damn if
I lose money
If I lose friends
Or family members
Who knows?
You can’t tell any black person
To shut the fuck up….
Unless you threaten him or her
Unless you kill a black person
Who unites the black race
And that’s said….
That’s the saddest thing to do
To punish a black person who unites
With his or her people…..
Against the system that keeps abusin
Us on a daily basis….
I’m just sayin…
In white supremacy
We ain’t allowed to show
The truth in a form of action…
I’m not sayin march….
I’m sayin is to build somethin for
Us, being by ourselves without
Colonizers involvement…and
We could be violent towards the
System….cos I’ve said this

Again before, white supremacy speaks
Violence….

And I’m aware of that

Cos

Through writin poems about racism in
Somebody’s life…somebody melaninated
Needs to know what’s up…

I don’t like being told to be
Quiet cos I’m makin everybody uncomfortable
So what…
Let’s be uncomfortable….
Let’s not coddle…

You see
Black people are too afraid to
Speak up….my beloved people
Are afraid to fight back
Cos again look at our conditions…..

We’re a sick nation…
Hate to break it to you
We’re a truly sick nation….
And it’s really sad…

Some of us
Are healin our trauma
Some of us
Are breakin our generational curses
Still as black people all over the world
We’re still sick in forms and ways….
We’re still at war….

Whenever we speak the truth,
We get told to shut up….
We get shhhh
And hush…
Cos colonizers are around….
