Candidly, since 2014 the men in my community formed a safety patrol ‘deacons for defense’ type shit. We patrol in pairs, and have not had any criminal activity of any kind in our community since 2014. I live in Northwest Baltimore. We deescalate when we can, but make it known it can go from 0-100 if they want to take it there. We aren’t vigilantes, or bullies. It’s simply 40+ brothers who’ve decided our community will not be overrun with street bullshit.
